Bought 1 roku for me and one for my mother about 2 months ago and we love them. Easy to setup, easy to use.

Just plain Fantastic!!!

I bought my first Roku one in January and I loved it so much that we now have 2 of them. Works great with old tvs. So easy that my 4 year old uses it. Great for Netflix, Disney Junior, PBS Kids, and other free channels.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Works Great for TWC

I use my Roku as a cable box. I currently live with my father and he only has basic cable (no cable box, no HD, no OnDemand). We have TWC. I was using my laptop for watching cable in HD. Until the TWC app was available on the ROKU, XBOX, and Samsung smart tv's. I really wish it was available on the PS3 but, w/e.
There are people out there that have had issues with the TWC app. Everyone i found searching the web said you needed a Roku 2 or higher to use the TWC app. I bought the cheapest one, the roku1 and it works great. I use it for TWC, netflix and hulu.

The only pitfall is the hardware. It can be "laggy". Like trying to run windows 7 with only a gig of RAM.

I was excited about getting my Roku 1 so I could watch shows on my TV. But then I discovered that several of the channels only show clips of shows and you still have to pay for several more.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I haven't had cable/satellite in years, but I wanted to access the channels that I wanted....... not pay a premium for so many channels I don't watch. Now I pay for exactly what I want, and only what I want!
