Easy to hook up and use

I bought this in March and have not had any problems with it. I bought the Roku 1 because I do not play games on my TV and it was well worth the price that I paid for it. Love the small controller it just fits in my hand and is one finger or thumb touch to change or continue watching episodes. The only thing is that I do not get my local channels to watch.
I would recommend this to a friend!

We have been using Roku in our home now for a while,and it is simple to set up and operate.The cost to purchase is very reasonable.Really enjoy using roku.

For a one time fee you get the benefits of watching programs streamed live and reruns to your TV set. You can take it camping or on a boat which is very flexible and easy to use. Cut the cable and get smart!

I bought this about 4 months ago and i am very happy with it because it serves the purpose i bought for and found out i could do more with it, Netflix and some TV channels and programs that like watching.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Does not support netflix profiles :-(

Roku 1 does not support netflix profiles. If it is important to you to keep your netflix suggestions separate from someone else's, e.g. a child, this unit is not for you. It does "talk" to older TVs, which newer rokus don't do.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Figured I would try it out for $40.00. Great product. Free channels are great. Thinking about getting rid of my expensive DirectV!!!

Some Video Connection Setup Experience Preferred

Having worked in commercial broadcasting, I found the installation of the Roku unit to our digital TV easy to configure and operate. However, other users have problems using the Roku's features especially when not used frequently.
