Great content, poor experience.

The Roku 1 offers a really nice interface to get all of our content from Netflix, Amazon Prime Instant Video, and Plex, but the device is a bit on the sluggish side. It takes a long time to jump between and load up apps, and the device likes to randomly reboot mid-use (this happens maybe once per month). If I had to make the choice over again, I'd probably jump for the Roku 3 since it has better hardware. I'd definitely stick with Roku though; I'm a big fan of the intuitive software and nice remote.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It is such an amazing little machine. We love the fact that we can choose who, what and when we watch something. We had cancelled Cable One a few weeks before we purchase little Roku. So, were missing some programs.

I bought my first Roku 1 a supplement to Apple TV, due to the large numbers of channels available. I later bought another one for my exercise room to be able to stream Netflix, etc, while on the treadmill

I bought this roku in february. I absolutly love it. I can watch netflix and i have the wwe network and i dont have any complaints about this product.

We are very happy with our Roku. We are fans of British TV and the Roku device gives us the ability to access AcornTV. This was our main reason for purchasing the Roku but it has turned out to be our favorite access to many other channels. It was easy to install and works without fail.
