I have three Roku's and as soon as I get an external antenna I will be able to drop my tv carrier.

Received as a birthday gift and it was the best gift I could have received - I am 60+ and have no problem using the Roku. I am buying another one for my bedroom.

Saves us a ton of money

We were tired of paying hefty cable and sattelite bills, we found that the kids and even us were really fine watching Netflix most of the time so we invested in a Roku, best $$ every spent. We pay less than $10 a month to watch tons of TV on 2 TV's in our home. I am happy with the 2 Rokus we bought. No problems with them yet except the remotes are small and not very kid proof, we broke one already and lost the other. I would recommend larger remotes and ones that are not so fragile.

we have had the roku 1 since december 2013 and we have signed up for netflix and hulu plus after about a month or so. the problem is, we'll be watching a show/movie and pause it only to not be able to "un-pause" it without it screwing up (i.e., turns off and starts blinking repeatedly). we have had to unplug the roku NUMEROUS times and re-start shows and movies. there is definitely some kind of bug with this roku as we shouldn't be experiencing this issue on a daily basis. we know it's not our netflix or hulu plus account because both are running perfectly on the computer.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

i bought this device almost 6 months ago and it's great, i have shows on amazon and hulu and it's nice that i can finally watch them not only through my laptop but now i can watch them on my tv
