Wanted to cut cable

I purchased the Roku 1 about 4 months ago hopeing to get rid of cable, but the issue with Roku is you have to have a credit card to first initially use it, you have to have a cable account to watch a lot of the channels like Disney, or Nickolodeon, or you have to have a subscription to Netflix, or Amazon for movies, so I still use cable, and haven't used the Roku box, I think it's been used twice, was a waste of money.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have 2 Roku's and I am very glad I bought them as there is much to look at for free and I always recommend to other people to buy one.Two have done it so far that I know.

I have struggled with Netflix since I enrolled. I'd be in the middle of a show and would get bumped off and many times could not get it loaded at all. Since I hooked up my Roku 1 the problems of streaming have been eliminated. I was about to stop subscribing to Netflix.

It a good thing .but streaming is stopped a lot and some channels are not supported in some areas .

Roku has been great for on the g. We have taken it traveling with us, used it in the home and even in the vehicle with our mobile hot spot.
