I used to plug in my laptop to my TV's HDMI cable to watch Netflix on the big screen. Now my Roku is plugged into the HDMI cable instead, and is always ready when I need it. It's not perfect: it requires a wifi connection, the interface is awkward and there is no "off" button. But it's better than schlepping my laptop over to the TV every time I want to watch Netflix.
I would recommend this to a friend!
