the roku 1 would be much better if it would quit shutting down a hour show can take up to 3 hours due to it shutting down I went and bought the roku 3 which is much better It does not have that problem I quit using the roku 1 it became to frustrating.

I bought this over a year ago and I still haven't managed to make it work and nothing and with no recite the store didn't take it back but it was a gift which was shoved back in my face, I went to several techs to make it work and for nothing. It was a waste of my money it's like if you don't pay for the newest model you're not going to get good quality device.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I've been using this for a few months and have no regrets regarding my purchase. I do not subscribe to cable or dish but am still able to watch the shows of my choosing without a lot of extra channels I don't need (but am paying for anyway...)

Makes having cable pointless

I've had my roku player for quite a while now I only give four stars beause they dont have all the apps i want. I wish i could download certain ones but thats no big deal. There are a bunch of different free options for apps in a large variety. I also like that if I search for something it pops it up so i can see if its on my netflix or hulu plus etc all at once. I think there could be a little but of updating for it but I'm pleased with my player. I wish I didnt have to have such a high internet service to stream it though. Overall its a great investment and affordable the more expensive ones may be better but this one was in my price range and it beats an enormouse cable bill every month. Setup is ridiculously easy anyone who can plug a cord in can do it.

This product does not work for me at all, it keeps freezing in the middle of my viewing experience. I just wasted my money.

I bought my Roku about two months ago and I've never had any problems with it or with the apps! I love my Roku! I would recommend it to everyone! It does everything you want it to do all in one place.
