Great after purchase-unit updated and it sucks now

Out of the box this unit was great. Netflix streamed in Dolby Digital 5.1 and the unit ran smooth. After it had some sort of update I lost the Dolby Digital 5.1 even though the option says its on and I should be getting it and now it wont stream for much more than an hour with out freezing up or restarting. DONT BUY!!!!!! Also a note-my dad purchase a model above mine and it is doing the same thing.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This is great when it works. I often have to keep resetting it. It needs to be in a direct line of the wireless router. I find that it works better during the day when a lot of people are not on the net. When it does work it is great. It is not like Wi-Fi and does not work as well. I also have trouble hooking up new channels by putting codes in. When it tells you to put in code I have to go through about 4 websites just to get to the page that it gave me.

While a lot of the available channels are not totally free, there are enough free choices to augment your viewing when the cable or regular tv channels just don't offer anything of interest or just plain bad.

I bought this Roku on a Wednesday and decided to hook it up at the last minute late Wednesday night. It took me five minutes to get it hooked up and running, I could not afford one of the other Roku's and decided on this one. Have been having fun ever since. Will definitly save for the Roku 3 now.

I have had my Roku for several months and I believe this is the best purchase I have made lately. I think I watch more TV thru the Roku than regular cable. Love that there are no commercials. I did not buy the most expensive model but the one I have does what I need. I am recommending this method of watching TV to all my family and friends.
