I bought this with high hopes and some expectations generated by a friend of mine that espoused the qualities of this product. I however have found no love for this device, cumbersome and lame is my description of the menu system, lame is the description of the media choices. All in all not the best money I have ever spent .
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

My Roku One was a gift. I was familiar with the product and many people I knew owned one and liked it. The Roku is simple to install and works well. My cable company is in trouble. Buy one !

I got mine about a month ago and I love it. I'm getting another one soon. I might be watching it to much it has cut off on me twice and I had to unplug it and re plug it back in.

Best alternative to cable or sattlelite TV.

Along with my NetFlix subscription Roku offers much, much more choices than my sattlelite package had and it's far less expensive. I think Roku just may be the best kept media secret ever. Wish I had got mine a long time ago. Thanks Roku !!

Wireless capacity breaks down

Product worked fine for 3 months, then suddenly lost capacity to connect to any wireless signal. The wireless MAC address went to all zeros. Resetting did not help. If you search other forums you will find others had same problem. Don't buy this.
