Love this device

We bought our first roku six months ago and love the freedom it has given us. We were able to get rid of cable completly and just the roku and basic tv stations. The only draw back is that you have to suscribe to most of the channels. This would be a lot easier if we had a TV provider but we don't. Why would I pay for cable and then pay for the channels on roku too? If the channels would allow access from basic tv service then this would definetly get five stars.

I actually had a Netgear and could not get HBOGO so I returned it for my Roku and found so many other thing I didn't even know I would want. Now if the could get the FX channel great and maybe Teen Wolf and Suits for free.

Couldn't live without this because we don't have cable or modern TVs. This IS our entertainment and it works flawlessly. I would highly recommend this to everyone.

Good product, poor wifi

I love the features of the Roku - lots of great streaming all packaged inside of a great UI. However, the wifi (on this model at least) is very weak. I can stream from all over the house with other devices (PS3, PS4, Xbox, etc) however, the Roku will very often give me an error that it can't connect to a service.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I received a Roku for Christmas this past year and have so enjoyed it! It is so convenient to stream all my favorite shows on Netflix as well as movies on M-GO and my Amazon account. I also listen to my Pandora station on it while I clean. In fact, my apartment complex lost cable (due to the all-digital switch over) for about a month and I did not even realize it until a week and a half after it was cut off. I was watching Roku exclusively. The only reason I checked the cable was to tune in to the World Cup. However, Roku had an answer for that as well! WatchESPN! I would not pay for cable again because Roku is so great! Small and easy to move from room to room. I love it and recommend it to anyone who asks (or doesn't ask)!
