Easy to install and the connection of the future!

I purchased two players about a month ago, I found the the Roku player 1 box type so I would be able to connect a small amplifier to listen to music in my down stairs shop, works great and was easy to set up. I enjoy the selection of old western and classic movies with out a lot of searching.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I bought this Roku to replace my Wii internet channel access. I like the Roku a lot, the remote is very good and there are more channels than on my Wii. The only disappointment is that the Roku 1 apparently does not have the capability to switch between Netflix users so I have to search for movies from my queue and they appear on the primary user's account. Overall I'm very happy with it and it was a great price.

Not really worth the money

I bought this almost 6 months ago. It tends to black out and I have to do a hard reset which I had to google to figure out and it takes a long time to come back up. There are a ton of commercials in the kids free movies. The videos I have watched on the channels have commercials and tend to buffer. I actually went on youtube and looked up the same video and it was fine. Certainly can't blame my internet when I could watch it fine somewhere else.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Who needs cable

With all of the entertainment choices available with a Roku, who needs to keep paying for cable. Get a Roku player you will not be disappointed.

I have Netflix and I thought each person could make a favorites list but I was told you have to have the Roku 3 to do that. I was disappointed.

I bought this for streaming Netflix to my bedroom, since I already had a Wi-Fi Blue-ray player in the living room, but this works better and offers a much bigger built-in selection.

The best but disapointed

I expected this devise to stream 1080p video's in 1080p, I steam thru the HDMI 3 port on my television and the drop down box shows 720p.
My first roku was a 3 year old 720p.The roku is flawless in many ways, so I will still recommend to buy.
