This is our second Roku. I've been using Roku for well over a year now and we love it. I would never go back to cable/satellite.

Recently we purchased a Roku 2 because we purchased Netflix and needed to have a set up with it. When we purchased it the salesman told us we got all the benefits of over a 1000 channels besides etc. Needless to say they don't tell you that you have to purchase a lot of them. On black friday we purchased the Roku 1 also advertising all these free channels. It was cheap so we bought it because we needed it for another tv. We definitely like the 2 better as the features are much better than the 1. We will probably end up buying the 3 after the new year as we figure that one must be even better then the other 2.

This is my second Roku. My first purchase was Apple TV before I knew about Roku. Roku has many more options available and very easy to use.

I got the fastest internet offered by my internet service provider and I have a terrible time getting this thing to stream. It always has an error. It upsets me. I wish I kept the packaging so I could return it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
