Works very well, excellent value for the money

I've had my Roku1 a few weeks now, and though I wish there was more (mainstream, good) programming available, it's more than worth the cost. Everything streams perfectly and setup was a breeze. I can't really fault Roku on the lack of certain channels available, but I do wish there was more mainstream full episode news channels.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I bought Roku 1 for one primary reason: I have a "dumb" TV, the large one in my spacious living room. I have started to exercise using YouTube videos. Though I have a smart TV in my bedroom, I could not stream in the bigger room. I am cheap and have and won't allow techology to force me to buy a large smart tv so I could stream. Enter ROKU! (thank you Joe an work). Took the "dumb" tech about 20 minutes to install. (Instructions on all apps and FAQs, information are plentiful online). Have been enjoying not only YouTube but Amazon Prime (eg Transparent). I'm one of the cool folks who has acutally seen the award winning series - thanks to Roku and my dumb TV.
To sum up and to repeat: ROKU ROCKS!

My wife gave it to me as early Christmas present and it ws so easy to set up and the of programs seems endless. I love when we want to watch a movie we have thousands to choose from so no more saying their is nothing on TV. Roku to the rescue!

I have 4 all different versions. I also take one with me when I travel. Roku CS will walk you through anything anywhere. You don't have to wait to get help either. The gadget itself just does what it says. I install the remote apps on my phones and iPads. Who could ask for more?

Very easy to use and setup. Lots of great features. Works best with Comcast Internet. Suggest installing with HDMI cable for best picture quality. Very good bargain for the price.
