Needs profiling switching for Netflix

I have a Roku Streaming Stick and love it. I purchased a Roku 1 for my daughter because of the HDMI port location on my daughter's television. It's great, other than the lack of Profile switching for Netflix. It doesn't run the newest Netflix version, and automatically logs into your first Netflix account. So my daughter has to use my account, which is at the very least annoying...at worst it prevents parental controls.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Fantastic way to watch Netflix, listen to pandora

I bought this at Christmas and am so happy that I did. It's fantastic. I always have Netflix and Pandora among many other programs available on any t.v. in the house. It's convenient and a real plus. Oh, I also love the remote.

Got the Roku 1 for Christmas and absolutely love it. Makes watching Netflix and Hulu super easy.

Good at what it does

Our son gave this device to us for Christmas. It installed fairly easily and operated with no real problem. There is not much that we want to use it for, but for what it does it is satisfactory.

Freedom from wires

Roku1 opened a whole world of easy to view shows from our bedroom, a room not wired for cable tv. Using WIFI, the little roku box can stream shows from dozens of sources such as Netflix, Amazon, YouTube etc. Too many to list. Moreover, Roku works much better and is more effective than the limited application found in the so called "smart TVs". You will add another remote and a other HDMI cable (highly recommended over audio /video cable) but this minor inconvenience is a small price to pay. A caveat, depending on how many shows you watch using Roku could increase significantly the demand of bandwidth.. You may want to check if your Internet provider (sat Internet comes to mind) puts any cap on how much bandwidth you can use.

I love it! I received it for a Christmas gift, it has not disappointed. Seriously contemplating eliminating at least 2 tiers of cable t.v. channels.

Perfect for us

We acquired an HD TV from friends after many years with an older TV used only for viewing DVDs. We'd have no interest in cable or satellite connections.We decided to try the Roku 1 to expand our viewing and really like the options. It was easy to set up and works well.
