this item has confusing services to me,,,radio espn, ect,,,also charges can make it as expensive a a broader cable service. if you have hulu plus netfix , ect.

I was told about Roku by my granddaughter who learned of it from college friends. I love my Roku!!! Those of us who are elderly and live on a fixed income can no longer afford cable TV and Roku is an answer to our Prayers. Thank you for making such an extraordinary product which enables us to enjoy TV at a fraction of cable costs.

Poor wi-fi reception

Bought this a few months ago. Don't use it as often as I should die to I start watching a movie and 75% of the time it stops and has to continue to load.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It's been three months now with no problems concerning ROKU I love it and planning on buying one for each room I get to see all of my favorite movies and TV shows an much much more the picture is crystal clear better than Cable!

Easy interface, some limiting features

I purchased three Roku 1 boxes during the Christmas sale. Very simple to use interface,
Works well with wireless network. I have had a few program stutters, but this is more than likely my wireless router.
Limitations: All of the "free" channels, don't deliver any content. Most require you to have US cable subscription to get access to the content. this kind of defeats the purpose of streaming in my view.
Netflix is available, but unlike the computer version, or what you get through a Western Digital media player, you can't select the profile of who is watching. This means that all three boxes are presented with the default profile content since all three are listed under my account.
