Better than my apple TV

Great old tv compatible !

We still have a few non-hdmi tv's so being compatible with them, saved us a lot of hassle and money. Only drawback is the words are too tiny to read, and image is not formatted for the old school tv screen, so the image gets cut off and scrunched a little. For the most part it does the job, and we're happy that we'll be able to get a year or two more out of the old set, and hopefully this Roku will still be compatible when we upgrade to an HDMI set. The other small miff I have is the whole code thing before we could use the Roku. Don't really see the point of all of that.

There is SO much FREE TV out there on ROKU

We could not be happier with our ROKU player. If you have wi-fi in your home already, you just can't go wrong here. It's so easy to set up & BAM.....you have more free TV choices than you ever imagined, not to mention a host of pay-to-view options as well. This is a simple, uncomplicated device, I don't know any reason to NOT have one.

I bought a Roku simply to watch Netflix on my standard TV. However, I use the news, weather, Pandora, and other channels far more often than I thought. great quality images, limited load times. It's great.

High quality content

I use this primarily to watch hockey on NHL gamecenter. The quality is probably not quite 1080p, but it's about as good as you can get without having a cable/satellite Center Ice subscription, and it's considerably better than watching on my laptop. Also has higher quality Hulu than my blu-ray player. REPLACED MY OUT OF WARRANTY ROKU FREE OF CHARGE WHEN IT STOPPED WORKING WITH LITTLE HASSLE!
