I bought the Roku 1 around December 2014 and have had no problems at all. I did have a problem with my Roku stick though. After talking to Roku's customer service they replaced it for FREE even though it was out of warranty.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I bought one over a year ago and am very happy with it. It allowed me to give up expensive cable. Then my brother bought me another one for my bedroom tv. I love this gadget and I do recommend it to anyone who complains about their cable service. I was so happy to say goodbye to those 10 minute commercials. I love watching a movie/program all the way thru without interruption unless it is my choice. Thank You
