I purchased this a few weeks ago and very happy with having the ability now to watch some paid for movies on my TV at a great rate per movie from networks like MGO, BLOCKBUSTER, CINEMANOW and many more, plus can down load movie cds from flixster if I decide to actually buy a movie to keep, plus more channels for free than before on my old version of Roku. Therefore, I am really happy with my new upgraded Roku 1.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I got the simplest model of Roku out there. I didn't need all the bells & whistles. So far I'm very happy with it.

I bought this for my 91 year old mother so she could watch her favorite old TV shows like The West Wing again. It is so easy to use that even she can manage to go back and forh between her Netflix shows and regular TV with ease. She loves the fact that she can pick from a wide selection of shows no longer available on regular programming. Set-up was quick and easy via wifi, and the remote is simple to use. Highly recommend ROKU!

Should've bought roku streaming stick...

The features on the roku 2 are no different than the streaming stick... Plus with the streaming stick you get to switch profiles on Netflix and you can't one the roku.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Do not waste your money. I should have just bought the Apple TV. I have had nothing but problems loading and connecting to apps.
