Best thing I did when I bought this. It's easy to use and I'm going to buy another to put in my bedroom so I can lay there at night and watch the movies and show's that I really like to watch.

I have a 3 of the earlier version of this device that are all wired in with cat-5 cabling and work great, however I wanted to be able to watch some of the new channels that Roku has added to their lineup (ie Youtube) that the older unit would not support. So I picked one of these up and YES I just love it. The menu is a little different than the older version and works better. The remote is also nicer and has more functions. I did notice that this new model does not have the cat-5 port for wired linking, but seems to work ok wireless as long as I keep the router in range.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Roku 1 is a compact, but powerful and versatile as compared to Roku Classic I have. But it does not have an Ethernet connection.

Feezes and remote doesn't work

We purchased our roku 1 year ago. The roku one is by far our favorite. Simple to use but the only thing is... We've had to reset it to factory settings MULTIPLE times. The roku freezes all the time. We bought the roku stick hoping it worked better but it is worse then the first one. Both remotes quit working after a few months and now the roku takes more time "thinking and loading" then it's worth.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Easy access

I enjoy the easy access to many channels from one place. It has also been a wonderful backup to our cable system when our cable boxes malfunction. Thank you for such an easy-to-use product.
