Does the job well!

I have had absolutely no difficulties with my Roku 1. Set up was a snap and it functions perfectly. Picked up my WiFi signal with no problem and once running is easy to navigate and get around. I would like to see one of the Roku devices have component outputs instead of composite, but other than that, it is perfect.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Good and easy, great duo

I bought my Roku about 3 weeks ago ago had not problems setting it up, connecting to my network ( Netflix ) and enjoying shows!

poor content, frustrating to use

while it's convenient to have ersatz tv stations curate your free internet content for you, using the roku is incredibly frustrating. very slow to load, filled with endless commercial breaks, and no way to know the content of the station before you go through the laborious process of loading it and clicking through the options. this is less an alternative to tv, and more an alternative to youtube, with a painfully slow user interface.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Glad I'm not paying for cable

I am excited that I have my Roku, however the worst part is that i had it a week before the cord got sucked into my vacuum and I haven't been able to use is since. I love the idea of Roku and when I did have it I LOVED it. I just wish that I was able to but replacement parts like remotes and power cords. The cords I have bought from 3rd parties have not worked.
