Allows me to choose a large selection of programs and movies.
Watching without commericals is really nice.
It was very easy to hook Roku up to the TV.

My son bought me Roku as my Mother's day gift and I am so loving it. It was easy to set up and I love the selections. I might never go back to cable again. I recommend this to everyone. Thanks Roku!

No need of smart tv... Plus, with Sling app I watch CNN and more TV channels

my husband and I decided to cut off her cable about a month ago now to save money... We got rid of our Xbox and other game consoles so I wasn't too sure how we were going to stream Hulu or Netflix. I started doing some research and discovered the Roku players. since I was new to this I decided just to purchase the Roku 1 and bit has been great! had first my husband and I were very nervous about getting rid of our DVR player, but after about a week watching shows that we wanted to watch or shows that we have discovered the transition was very easy! Looking back I don't know why I didn't do this years ago! One tip that I would give everyone... Make sure that your router is off the ground! I saw a few reviews saying that they had issues with buffering and I did as well at first, once I moved my router on a higher level and cleared away anything that could jeopardize the signal I have had zero issues!
