I wanted a way for my son to watch tv in his room. We have older tvs and no cable so this was perfect. Easy to hook up and easy for him to use.

With this device you have to have it in line with the remote and have a very good wi-fi signal.

Using this on an old tube tv works great the only bad thing is the news section when viewing videos has issues otherwise ok

Since I bought this I have turned off cable, am saving over $100/month, and am enjoying TV more then ever. I had no idea so much content was available. Add one paid service like Netflix and don't look back. Roku was easy to install, and easy to use. Remote takes a (very) little getting used to.

My daughter gave me my Roku for mothers day after I expressed a desire to get rid of satellite tv and go to Netflix - fantastic gift!
