I have had my roku for over 2 years or so and being a senior cant afford the new one yet, however I don't need it, I love the roku and appreciate the support if needed, I tell everyone about it and when they ask what I watch on tv I tell them I have roku and don't need to pay for cable or stuff...I would not trade my roku for tv ever..i love it..smiles
I would recommend this to a friend!

Better than cable

We bought our Roku because we cut our cable and for us it was a much wiser and cheaper choice overall. We could not have asked for a better supplement to our cable needs.

Wanted to buy one for along time I don't know why I put it off. This is a wonderful addition to my entertainment. Currently ending my cable due to the high cost and will only be using antenna and internet .

Needs more Netflix profiles

I got the Roku 1 a little over a month ago. It works good but there's no way 2 change Netflix profiles. I have kids and when they turn on Netflix through the Roku 1 they can view n watch the grown up shows.
My Blu-ray player which cost about the same price let's my kids choose their profiles that I set up and are kid appropriate profiles for shows n movies. That's my biggest hang-up with the Roku 1.
But also know that to get most programs offered, you also need a cable subscription.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Have enjoyed a month of watching during a void in normal programming. Am pleased I didn't have to purchase a new set to access. Very simple set-up.
