I am quite happy with my Roku 1. Set up took 2 minutes. Also move from room to room is a snap.

I returned after 2 days as it was slow and u use able on netflix as you could not choose the profile you wanted to view. Box was misleading saying it could use android apps where it meant you could get an Android app to control it
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Portability!

I purchased the player to take to my travel trailer on the weekends. We have free WIFI at the park. It works great! I have access to Netflix, HBO, and Showtime, plus news and tons of other channels. It is small and much easier than running the HDMI cable to a laptop. No annual fee...BONUS! I bring it home and use during the week too!

Way more practical than cable TV

Said goodbye to cable tv, too expensive! I wish I could use a keyboard to type, but mine is a Roku1, and it was inexpensive so I cannot complain. Streams well with basic cable...
