Love it!

We use this all the time. We do not go out and rent movies anymore, it's much easier to purchase on the Roku and actually ends up saving us money since we always returned our rentals late, our late fees would rack up!

This is personally my 2nd Roku, and I have purchased two others for family members. Roku 1 is just as great as the rest of the Roku family. All the features and all the bells and whistles. It's perfect!

We don't have cable and I loved that we were able to get shows and watch them. Now they ask for a tv provider. Now we can't watch them.

Nothing is FREE! I always heard"watch hundreds of free shows" that is a complete lie!!!! I looked for about 2-3 hours the day I got this to find a "free" movie and found nothing!! I wasted all that time simply looking only to discover the movies all cost more to rent than redbox and/or want me to subscribe to a monthly service. So that is what it is really all about this device is simply a gateway needed for streaming one of the many services such as netfix .
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have this for my second tv upstairs and it automatically synced with my Roku 3 in the living room. Perfect little box for what we need! Would definitely recommend for those looking to off the cable bill!

GREAT PRODUCT! Only issue I run into is sometimes it will re-play the last few seconds once or twice before the "commercial" break. Other than that, I wouldn't trade my Roku one for any other option out there! If you are considering getting a Roku, Roku 1 is a great product for a great price. If you are thinking of cutting the cord on cable/satellite, switch to Roku!!
