Better than the stick

I was traveling a lot bought this for hotel use. The first hotels had standard remotes and couldn't access the source so I couldn't use it. It was better than the cable offered once I could access it. The only problem was the version of Netflix it not user friendly. Makes it hard to find the show you want. Should make it so people can change or upgrade to a different version of viewing software

I had a Roku LT which after a year decided to lose memory everytime it was unplugged, so i bought the Roku 1
This is smooth and functional and never misses a beat, better than chromecast and if you don't want or have a Netflix account buy it anyway because it is worth having the option to use Netflix at a later stage.

I have used chromecast before and liked using my iphone to select what i need to do while watching tv shows and movies. With Roku the control device is not very user friendly.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
