Not enough free, and what is free is old

All the good channels want money. By the time you pay everyone, dish or direct tv is cheaper.

Should have got the roku 3

I don't like the way Netflix shows up on it. I have roku 3 and bought roku 1 so my kids have different ones and don't fight. Roku 1 seems slower also. I like roku 3 for netflix because you can choose who is watching, but on roku 1 for netflix it's all together and no search option. I haven't tried out any other channels on the roku 1, because I'm sure that would be different. I don't like how the roku 1 already gives you certain channels instead of being able to choose your own like roku 3.

Every time I try to use it the program will play for about five minutes and then it wants to reload and continues to do this. I also have a strong wi-fi connection so it should not be doing this.

Buy a 2 or 3

I bought two of these on the same day, barely worked so I returned it and bought a 2. I if your looking for a good player you can't go wrong with the 2 and 3 but the 1 is a paperweight.

Wi-fi will not function anymore

About 1 year old and the wi-fi does not work anymore. Everything in my house is wireless, I shut writhing down and put it right to the modem and nothing. Pretty much useless without it.

Broke in 3 days

I got a roku 1 and after about 3 days it stopped working. Everytime I try to connect to the network it gives me errors. It would freeze when trying to load Netflix. I haven't been able to watch anything in weeks. There is nothing wrong with my network because it works fine with all other devices. Even when I check the network settings on the roku it shows it is connected. Im confused on why it doesn't work and would like a refund or a new roku at least.

Terrible user interface

The user interface is outdated. I bought my Roku mainly for Netflix and on the Roku 1, the Netflix menu is outdated, so you can not take advantage of what Netflix has to offer.
