Great to have if one wants to get rid of cable tv and only pay for internet to get streaming video.

Lost/Missed options

My TV is an older rear projection that is 1080 ready but is not HDMI cabled , instead uses older DVI outlets meaning there is a seperate outlet for Audio and Video. The HDMI does both with one cable
That forced me to purchase Roku 1 , not the current ( Roku 3 ) because there was not provision for DMI outlets that my TV requires . That left me behind the curve buying the first generation Roku 1 that leaves technology and options on the table that the current Roku 3 offers . Of course I used a DVI/HDMI adapter to allow the ROKU 1 to function but without the added features the current ROKU 3 uses . Not particularly happy with that ;-( . Had I known before hand ,I would have researched a product that suited me

This is FAR better than Dish or Direct TV. Watch what you want when you want.

Small Compact Powerful

At 64 years old, Hi tech things that connect to a computer..Televisions etc. are not easy for me..but the Roku was so simple I had it up and running in about five minutes. The Roku is compact and easy to install. Nothing to it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

It's has limit access to multi account like Netflix. Not much options there.

if this is ever to replace cable TV it will have to get some sports. Access to released movies and older TV is OK. The really desirable series cost too much.
