I have two Roku units, one on our flat screen and one for my daughters older tv (hence the Roku 1). Both work great!

Old TV works with Netflix

I bought my ROKU because my old TV did not have a HDMI connection. It worked great! I was able to stream Netflix in my bedroom. I have Direct TV so I did have to go buy a switch box, otherwise I would have been switching cables on the
TV each time.

I bought this about a month ago and I like it a LOT. I decided to get rid of cable because I did not want to continue to pay for smut and perversion. I am very happy with my Roku.

Great alternative to cable

I don't miss cable at all. Roku gives me what I need. I can watch what I want, when I want. Netflix, Hulu plus, CBS all access, Amazon Prime, even Pandora...many options to choose from. I get a few more options with the Roku stick but this one is great for my older tv.

I purchased this when I was recovering for surgery and was laid up. We have absolutely enjoyed this. The remote is worth getting, especially when you are laid up. I would recommend this to anyone that enjoys watching movies. Much cheaper and more comfortable than going to a movie theater.
