Works with both new and older tvs

I really like the roku because I can catch up on my favorite tv shows without the expensive of paying for cable or satellite.

Thank goodness this little Roku 1 allows me to use my older large screen TV to view online programming otherwise I would have to throw it away for a new expensive smart TV.

I have an old projection tv that I just can't part with. I decided to try streaming some shows and with research found out that the Roku 1 would work with my old set. I have had it a little over a month now and have been perfectly pleased. It was easy to set up and just as easy to operate.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Easy set up...

This was easily set up on a 17" TV monitor! It was a little more challenging to set up with my regular TV....that had the cable box and DVD hooked up to it. We just unplugged the DVD player and hooked it up Behind the TV and it now works perfectly. Note: I still need to use All 3 remotes.....1. Tv. 2. Cable box. 3. Roku box

Great Product!

My family made the decision to give up our cable service due to the outrageous fees. We kept our internet plan and I purchased the Roku One so we could access Netflix and Hulu.
The Roku set up process is a dream. We plugged in the charger, connected it to the television, entered some information to authorize the account, and that was it. We were watching a movie on Netflix in less than ten minutes.
