Works great with my monitor tv

I have an old hd tv monitor. Most Blu-Ray players require a hdmi connection, but this tv does not have one. The Roku 1 is wonderful and connects to the tv without needing a hdmi conection. Gets Hulu Plus,Netflix,Amazon Prime,Vudu,Crackle,PBS Kids,Family TV,and so much more. We love it!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Device is fine; on-line program lacking

I got this device for our old tube TV - needed the RCA connectors. The device itself connects beautifully with our wireless system. The on-line layout is a little busy and limited. Would, and will, buy another device for our other TVs.

Why didn't I find this year's ago. I love it. So much better than cable. Bigger variety of shows and movies to watch. Not like cable where it seems to be the same movies and shows all the time.

works ok for older tvs

I didnt give it a 5 because Im disapointed that apps including netflix works differently than my roku 3. My roku 3 auto starts the next show in a series and will play for hours without touching it. The roku 1 stops after every show. Since it is in my bedroom and I like to fall asleep with my tv on, its annoying. I know it seems silly but I like noise in the background and the silence wakes me up. Then I have to hunt for the remote. One day I will drag that monster tv downs stairs and then I will buy a roku3.

When moving into our new home we purchased the roku to stream our netflix and i havent had an issue considering i previously own the roku HD which ive had for a little over 2 years already.
I would recommend this to a friend!
