Great choice!

We bought all of our TVs a Roku about a month ago to officially "cut the cable cord". It has been a wonderful choice. The only complaint that I have is that it is SLOW with older TVs. The older TV, the slower the Roku works. I know that is entirely a TV thing, but thought everyone should be aware.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I bought this a couple months back. I also have a Roku 2. I really enjoy my 1 it's just as fast as my 2 and easy to use.

Roku 1 us everything it is advertised to be.
It was my only option of the Roku family. My surround sound and projector theatre setup required both composite and hdmi connectivity.
Roku 1 is the only Roku unit with both
connections.

So, I get slower speed and less features.
It seems simple enough to have included both connections on all units.
Other then that, Roku is great.

We ditched cable and bought roku I love it! The kids really enjoy Netflix and Sling .

before i could what a sitcom and the next episode would appear for me to watch now i have to go to episodes and search the next episode i should be watching
movies are old and the new ones cost money
but like having one source for my viewing destinations i.e netflix/hulu etc
need HBO
