Too many choices, too much cost

My son gave this to me me for my birthday as I am wanting to get rid of cable. I find it very time-consuming and frustrating to scroll through so many options especially only to find out that I have to pay for it and sometimes quite a bit. I am not going to start 'buying' while I'm still paying for cable. Granted, there are so-called 'free' trials to sign up for but then you deal with a voluminous amount of follow up emails, just like Roku does.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I knew I wanted to get rid of my cable bill so I decided to start by selecting the Roku 1. I kept cable while trying out the Roku. Before long, I realized most of what I was watching was through the Roku. I called my cable company and disconnected my cable services. I've had absolutely no regrets. The picture quality is clear and I haven't experienced any disruption. Best decision I made!

I bought my Roku 1 several months ago and I enjoy it so much that I bought a Roku 3 recently for my bedroom. It is so convenient and easy to setup and use. I really enjoy access to all of the free channels as well as my Pandora and Netflix accounts. I LOVE ROKU!!!
