Works great love it. The remote is terrible. It don't work most of the time. Luckily there is a app for it on my phone. Guess they know it sucks.

Love the Roku so Much

I have had the Roku for a month now and I absolutely love it. I only wish I had bought it earlier. I cannot say enough good about it. I have the Roku 1 and it works great for me. It cut my cable bill way down and that is a blessing in itself. I highly recommend the Roku.

The choice for watching today's TV

I had been streaming via a blueray player but my Roku 1 is a much better choice. Subjective, but video seems to stream much better on the Roku and supplier seem to have better interfaces for the Roku. Great picture and sound, it's an ideal choice.

My niece talked me into buying this month I thought I would be taking it back to the store for a refund. This is one of the best things I've bought in recent years I've gotten tons of enjoyment out of it.

Nice little device that promises to bring more entertainment viewing choices to you and yes, it does that. Large choices of "Net" channels to watch. There are channels that deliver great movies for free. But then there are Demo channels which you have to pay a fee to watch. Major problem thats not printed on the package is YOU HAVE TO HAVE a Credit Card. If I wouldnt known this I wouldnt have purchased it. I bought it for a family member and had to use my card in order to get the devices to work, hate this, just another way to track you, sucks. Need to have HIGH speed internet, it kept stopping every 2 seconds to load and kills the viewing pleasure. BIG NEGATIVE is that there is NO option to shut the device off, is always on and hate that plus it really gets HOT. The area around it go really hot to the touch. Much like Rabbit TV, TV stations are just news clips and if you want to see live TV, have to pay a subscription. Think when you add up the money you would have to spend on channels you wanted, the cost would be more than standard TV viewing choices. My sister discovered its easier and runs A LOT faster and NO slowdown if she just streamed her iPad thru the device. Running thru channels, switching back and forth is SO slow.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great option for old TV

It works great on old TV but when I switch to use with Hdmi, it does not work properly. I am still happy with the result that it really work good on old type TV and pictures are awesome..
