We bought our Roku 1 about a month ago and I don't think a day goes by that we don't use our Roku. Thanks for all the available channels.

We Have Two . . . !

I first became aware of the Roku nearly two years ago when my son bought one for use in his home. Unfortunately, since his was a satellite internet provider, he couldn't really get the best use of the Roku I that he could have. So, as luck would have it for me, he gave me the unit because I had a high-speed internet connection and could easily use the Roku. Since that time, I've moved to another town in Middle Tennessee and we've become so pleased with the internet programming offerings that we've discontinued out satellite TV subscription and gone to strictly Roku's in our home. I think, though, that we're going to need either a Roku 3 or the newer 4 model because I do love to listen Pandora and I need the headphones. Still, the Roku I is fast, efficient, and it works well in any home with a good internet connection.

Breathing life back in to old TV

Purchased month or so ago. On old TV Blu-ray terrible. Streaming through Roku fantastic. Wonderful product.

Roku 1 will work on old TVs

I have two Roku 3 and was looking for something that would allow my non-usb (meaning RCA connections) TV to the internet. Roku 1 is great. I bought this knowing it had older technology and would be slower but it works.

movies stop in the middle

I cant watch a movie all the way through. Crackle (free movies) wont even play a movie all the way through. .I can only watch jw.org streaming i can not e ven get into Netflix .
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I purchased this unit after being told my original roku player-which still works would no longer be supported. This product has an upgraded remote but same easy user interface.
