My boyfriend bought me this because I didn't have a Xbox or a PS3 to watch Netflix and Hulu etc. And this works amazing for me. Its nice and small so you don't really notice it sitting there. Too bad there is messy cords though and I also wish that when you are streaming Netflix that it would just automatically play the next episode like on a Xbox. But that's not really a big deal. Setting up kind of took awhile because of all the info you had to enter on it using the little remote and needing to go Roku site then to your Netflix account then Hulu etc to set up there as well.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I purchased the Roku 1 over a month ago and it is exactly what I needed to have in order to watch all of the shows and ppv that we need to see. My kids enjoy watching there tv shows on the roku gor it always plays the tv shows that they would like to see. It is the best device that I have bought in a while.

I like the Roku a lot and honestly only have one gripe with it. Netflix allows multiple profiles on it's channel so that each person may watch programs to their liking and kids can have theirs as well. Using the Roku takes this option away without an option to correct it. My sister and I watch completely different types of television and without the option to choose my own profile I only see programs catered to her. If I do end up watching the same thing we have to remember where we pause a show or at which episode. I use Netflix about 99% of my viewing time so for me this is a huge issue. Other than that it's great.

I bought this about a month and half ago,it is great for the most part.only thing I do not like is commercials and I cannot get it to load netflix or pureflix the main two I wanted to watch.
