Good solution for both digital and analog devices

I love the redesigned Roku 1. I'm very pleased with all of my Roku products, for that matter -- I also own a Roku 3, a Hisense Roku TV and a streaming stick. In this case, I needed a solution to stream content over an older, stand-alone projector that did not have an HDMI interface. I turned to the Roku 1, with its hybrid analog-digital output, accommodating both HDMI and composite outputs. The picture quality for each output is great, though I did notice a slight lag time with responsiveness in the Roku 1, compared to the Roku 3. It behaves a lot like my streaming stick in that sense, but it still meets my needs. I would prefer that you could use both HDMI and composite outputs simultaneously (or at least use the audio of both outputs for two audio lines from the same source.) I would also like to see Roku include the Enhanced remote with earplug jack for all of their devices. I was disappointed to see that the Roku 1 and my Hisense TV have the basic, standard remotes. One other enhancement request to the Roku service itself, and not specifically related to the Roku 1, would be a "universal bookmark" feature as a companion function to the universal search. For example, I think it would be great if you could create and custom name folders on the main menu, where you could tag and store direct links to content on a multitude of streaming channels all in one place -- like "Dad's Favorite Shows" or "Halloween TV" or "Christmas Movies."

Found it will not be the savings I had hoped for. The most desirable choices all are attached to monthly fees or the movies are Pay-Per-view. As My husband and I are older I have trouble navigating the system and my husband finds it impossible. It also is picky about operating systems. For younger more savvy people it should work fine.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought the Roku for my older model TV and works perfect! Easy setup and easy to navigate once at the Home screen. I really like you can go online to chose the channels to be added.

We've had our roku for about a month now and I absolutely love it. It's really convenient and easy to use, I love that I can use my phone as the remote. One thing I do have troubles with is when the next episode is suppose to come up it doesn't load and when I hit the back button it won't work. I have to go back to the home page...other than that it works great.
I would recommend this to a friend!
