Basic device. Just what we needed

We already had a Roku 3 on our big tv that we use most of the time. In order to "dump my DISH" I wanted one for my older tv in the family room. I didn't need a higher priced one for there. I chose this because of the lower cost and also the fact that it came with the cables needed for the older tv. I'm very pleased with both of my devises.

This works so much better than the streaming box. It has all kinds of features and lets me sign in to all my accounts.....so easy to catch up on shows I missed.

I got this about a month or two ago and I'm so happy with it. It was easy to set up and it's great if you don't feel like paying for cable! Love it!

Old TV Savior

I have an old TV that still works great, but it has no HDMI connections. Roku 1 is perfect for older CRT televisions with component cable connections, and it still has an HDMI port.
We were just given a data cap by our ISP, and it turns out that this is the best television to stream movies and television shows on because of the Roku 1. It has a 480p setting on it that our newer Roku boxes don't, so it means that it won't be streaming full HD data rates no matter how you're individual app settings are configured.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Awesome Alternative to expensive cable

Saved a bunch of money on cable and while I don't watch much tv when I do I have all of my favorite programs at my finger tips!!!!
