I bought this for my 7yr old; easy to control especially with the roku app on my phone when you want ground them take away their channel and re-add it later when the punishment is over. Wish they had netflix kids or profiles other than that I can't really complain.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I have several Roku units as I am not a cable subscriber. I have an Apple which costs about twice as much as the Roku and flakes out just as much. Roku is dependable. With that said, I really wish it had a true "streaming" mode like the smart TV's and apple devices. Meaning, when I am watching a movie or TV sitcom I would love for the device to automatically carry over to the next episode instead of having to push the remote twice to start it. I know.....a little lazy but most times I'm cooking or cleaning or doing something else which makes it somewhat inconvenient.

I was skeptical when I purchased my Roku 1 over a month ago but to my surprise it works effortlessly without a hitch! I have recommended a Roku 1 to all of my friends and clients as a way of saving hundreds of dollars a month. My only regret is that I should have tried it years ago!

I bought it a couple of weeks ago, the remote control doesn't work most of the time a refund or exchange might help.

Not worth it!!

Takes 3 hours to watch a 45 min episode on Hulu or Netflix because of it freezing and needing to load every 3 seconds. This thing sucks!
