Buffering a problem

Love the platform, choices, and concept, however the amount of buffering/retrieving that happens is too rediculous. Not sure if this is a roku processor issue or cable company throttling internet speed, or a combination of the two or something else entirely. Either way it makes it difficult to watch anything when this happens, which is more often than not. The constant interruptions make it impossible to enjoy any show.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great features, needs a better remote!

I like the roku. It does what it says its going to do. I don't use it much BC the remote control is not user friendly. You have to scroll tobletters on screen to type. It takes a long time to search.

I LOVE THIS ROKU!!! Has the coolest movies and I get to see my old shows when I was a kid like old Frankenstein movies and More

Great for kids and adults

I bought a 55 insignia flat screen and it came with the roku player allready install. I really love it... everyone at the house was fighting for the roku control because they wanted to watch something else than boring dish. So I had to buy another roku player for my room, and I got it at a incredible low price

Slower then molasses

Super slow and sometimes won't even load. I have a roku 3 and couldn't be happier. I bought the roku 1 for my bedroom and couldn't be any more disappointed then I am right now with this product.

Misleading

I bought my roku SE to hopefully cut down on bills by removing my cable. I saw that on the box it had advertised "Every Roku player offers access to 200,000+ movies & Tv episodes." As this is not false advertisement I cannot make that claim, however there is a catch. In order to obtain such amount of movies you must have subscriptions to certain channels. Which I will admit will save you money as you are getting what you want and not paying for all the channels. But the amount of paid channels out number the free 20 to 1, I personally do enjoy this Device I would love to see it offer more free apps and channels and especially a free Roku channel that provides some but not limited to movies and shows. Nothing mainstream but possibly like crackle provides.
