I don't have cable or DISH. Never had it and never will. Just nor worth the expense to me. I really like that I can watch whatever shows I want when I want and that I can watch on one TV and finish on another or on my laptop. This is so easy to use.

Freezes all the time

We have 2 other rokus and we love them...a roku 3 and a 2(special at thanksgiving)...but this one is horrible constantly freezing during HBONOW...just goes to black screen...then we have to unplug it and restart...then it works for s bit and then it freezes

Roku 4 - Big disappointment

I was excited to upgrade to Roku 4 solely for the optical output that I can feed to my Bose receiver. After all the struggle and follow up with Netflix etc, I figured out the output is 2 channel only. I opened a ticket with Roku support but was of no help. For Sling users the ZOOM feature is also not working for SD broadcast. I have finally switched to APPLE TV and everything works as expected.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
