I picked up the Roku 1 on a Black Friday sale just to try it out, and I'm so glad I did! It's pretty easy to use and it seems to have an endless list of channels (a lot of which are free) I would give it a 5 star rating if not for the "off" switch on the Roku itself or the remote so I have to unplug it every time and then plug it back in. Other than that I love it.

Easy to set up/use with a catch

Set up was easy. Easy to use. However, if you have any other electronics working in the room like a tablet the remote goes haywire. It happened a few times before I googled and found out this happened to alot of people. Still love it flaws and all.

The concept of spending almost $200 a month on cable was ridiculous. We decided to go with ROKU to test an alternate method of watching TV. This is very different than cable, but very easy to install and use. We like Netflix and Hulu and between those two and the cost of the ROKU 1, we have saved quite a great deal of money. Glad we made the switch.
