I bought my player in Dec.2015 and i enjoy watching the content of it. It seems to have a really good picture whenever i watch it

I bought this for Black Friday and it's actually the SE version which is basically a 1. I like the roku. I really do. I love that I can watch all my shows and everything, I can use my phone as a remote etc. my biggest complaint is that on Netflix, I can't switch back and forth between profiles. My roommate and I share Netflix and since she is the primary on the account it pulls up her profile. The problem being that if I want to watch the same show she is, it looses her place or episode that she is on. So that's kind of a bummer. All in all, my complaints are not entirely with the roku but rather than I got the lowest version of roku. Had I known some of the differences better, I would have dished out the money to get at least a roku 2 or higher. I've already ordered a 2 and will possibly look into getting the 3 because of the head phones option. (My room has a tin roof so when it rains, even on volume 100, I can't hear the tv)

feeds need to allow user to adjust settings

I bought the Roku SE because of the great price. It would be nice to adjust the feed settings like you can on your computer. Adjust the bandwidth usage and picture quality. I have high bandwidth but am only able to stream NBCSN Permiere LEague for 10 minutes before in craps out. May be the app itself.

I got this based on a recommendation but even after I purchased it, most of the options have an additional cost and it is not very intuitive nor is it fast and efficient. It takes me 20 minutes to find something that will work and even with a huge bandwidth package from Windstream, it is still very slow. I am contemplating putting it up for sale and going without it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
