Cost saver

I refer to this as a cost saver because I was thinking of dumping Satellite service and go to the expense of a large flat screen Smart TV. My rear projection works very well and now with the Roku SE I saved hundreds of $'s. Watching 90%streaming and 10% TV you can imagine how pleased I am. Guests can watch ROKU streaming without the expense to me of "renting" boxes from the satellite company in each room for their entertainment.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Apparently you had a software update and when it reset my ROKU it will no longer stream you tube. Now it tells me I have to update it. I really did not want to have to purchase another. I purschaed it last year so this is not a new purchase.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

i bought this to watch movies from my phone to my tv. does not play the movies from my phone it will not mirror the movies from my phone to the tv. saleperson told me it would do this, also says on box that u can stream from ur phone but does not tell u that u cannot stream movies. the way i am understanding this is the only version that does not do it. do not buy if ur planning on using it to watch movies from ur phone. i bought a chromecast after the disappointment in this and it works fine and its cheaper.

This is my second Rocu 1and I love it as much as my first one which I have had for several years. I needed one for another room and this is perfect. It's small, user-friendly and always does the job when I use Netflix or Amazon. This was an excellent purchase.

I had already purchased two(2) HD tv's with an included, Roku 'stick'. These work just fine. The latest Roku1 works just fine too, but wonder why there is no 'on-off' power switch either on the Roku remote, or the Roku box? I know power consumption is low, but seems annoying to have the Roku1 pilot light constantly on?

I bought the Roku a month ago for a spare bedroom that I didn't want to pay to have cable installed in that room since how it isn't used much. I'm very happy with my purchase, the Roku has been a great buy!

I purchased the Roku SE and found it is very slow responding to anything. I advise not purchasing this 1st generation Roku.
