Pretty good, but...

I was excited the Roku SE was offered at such a great price during the holidays. I ininstalled and it worked quite well with Amazon. However, I did not have the same luck with Netflix. I tried to load Netflix but it would keep saying retrieving. I had to uninstall then reinstall Netflix at least four times before it finally started working. A friend of mine had the same issue as well, so I'm not quite sure why this particular Roku did this with Netflix only. I have not had any problems with this player since Netflix successfully installed. I can truly say I love it and it's very convenient.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Roku 1 - Great for Guest Room

We have a Roku 3 in the living room and bought the Roku 1 for the guest room. It's noticeably slower than the Roku 1 and the Roku 3's remote is much better (not needing to point it at the TV is wonderful). For a spare/guest room Roku 1 is perfect, but I'm really happy to have the Roku 3 for the living room. We use it more than our cable box. :-)

I bought this at the recommendation of a friend. I can certainly say I was not disappointed. I owned an apple box previously, and they took away the channels I watched to force me to buy an updated one. I refused to do so. This Roku has the channels I watch and more. Most of them are free too.

Roku vs netgear

I bought this and a netgear and sorry but netgear works great but my roku freezes a lot and takes a long time to load restored it to original factory setting and works one or 2 times and then goes back to not working properly not happy sorry but more happy with netgear
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
