This is the second Roku I bought for myself. The other one I put in bedroom. I also bought one each for my children. That is how much I like Roku!!!

Who Needs Cable

I've had a Roku for over 3 years now but in December of 2014 I finally cut the cord. I am so glad that I did. I have more now to watch than ever before. I bought this new one for guests to use in the guest bedroom. They should also be able to watch what they want when they want.

I've had my roku about a month now and I really wish I knew abut it sooner as it has save me a lot of money,! No more high cable bills! I have 3 , one fore each of my tv's! Thanks Roku!

I bought this to add streaming, particularly Netflix, to the bedroom for my wife who is partially disabled and spends a lot of time in bed. It works great but apparently it does not support individual login/profiles with Netflix. Had I known this basic feature was missing I would not have purchased it. I will be looking to replace it possibly with an old PS3 PlayStation.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We started with a Roku 1 because it was the cheapest. It wasn't bad, but we didn't like how you couldn't switch profiles on the Netflix app, and the overall speed was an issue. Netflix and Amazon frequently buffered, and Hulu was basically unusable. We returned it to the store and got a Roku 3 instead. The 3 is a MUCH better device - it has more recent versions of all the apps and it is much faster. I would definitely recommend the 3 (or the brand new Roku 4) over the 1 or 2.
