I hated cable for all its sports channels and infomercial channels. I'd spend all of my tv time flipping channels and not finding anything. Roku is amazing, I can watch what I want, much of it free! Then for small fees depending on the station, I can also stream my favorite prime time sit-coms and even live neas!

Goodbye cable this thing rocks! So many things to watch and I have barely search for channels. Much cheaper than cable too.

My PS3 (which my wife had been using for about a year to stream Netflix and YouTube) had just died and we decided to pick up the Roku1. We were disappointed in the fact that it could only use 1 profile on Netflix, otherwise it is a decent streaming device. Very middle-of-the-pack. Spend a few extra dollars and get the stick.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
