Needed A Second Roku for Master Bedroom

Snapped up the Roku SE because we needed one for the master bedroom and the price was unbelievably low. Already had the Roku3 in the living room so just a simple no frills Roku box was fine.

Actually own two ROKU's now! We love them and the cut to our budget we no longer pay for cable only entertainment through ROKU!

Purchased expecting it to do all of the streaming functions as advertised for new roku. It will not mirror like other new versions of roku devices. Se didn't say was basically same as original less robust roku & is old technology even for roku. The chromecast device does more and runs cheaper.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Late to the party again(?)

First bought a first edition Roku late into the transition of the second generation models as a replacement/backup for my primary media device, a Playstation 3, which had broken down. After replacing the game console, while offering more media choices, found the Roku to be painfully slow. Eventually shelved it buying a smart TV and Chromecast in the interim of the Chromecast dying within months and deciding to give Roku another try during a holiday sale.
Not as slow as the earlier model, this unit is still so poorly performing that it will be a while before/if I try a higher rated/more expensive model.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
