I have had dish network, online television for years. Roku has made it so much easier to access my netflix and Hulu Plus accounts compared to the WII access. I can find movies for free that I have not seen for years as well other services..

Works fine, with a few problems

I've had this for about a month now and am largely satisfied with it. Except that I can't get Netflix to load at all, the Firefox browser doesn't seem to work, and my attempts to set up facebook on it have failed.
I would recommend this to a friend!

We do not owne cable and don't need to my roku is packed with everything me and my kids need will soon replace all my DVD players in my house and will only use ruku

I have bought 6 for my house, total 20+ for gifts. I love this lil box. I am such a promoter of this lil box.I'm not very tech savvy so it is so user friendly for me. 50+ so anything I want is on there. Replacement of cable for me. Thank Roku my house loves Roku!

Works great for an old TV without HDMI hookups.

I have an old TV that I recently moved to the back patio that didn't have an HDMI input, only the old RCA composite inputs, L & R audio inputs and a single video input. The Roku 1 comes with composite outputs and a composite cable to connect the Roku box to the TV. I was seriously considering buying an expensive adapter because the TV didn't have HDMI input. This setup with the Roku 1 worked fantastic, while using the wireless WiFi also! It also has an HDMI output if I upgrade my TV in the future.

Roku service is great, but the SE box is terrible

Roku is a must have product. But go for Roku 2 or 3. Roku box 1 em SE are really slow and freeze frequently.
