Gets the job done

Had this one a few months now. This is not my first roku purchase. So hopefully that says something. My other one was just as good but they made a newer box that looked neater than my other one. So that's the review. Makes Netflix and chill pretty easy. Haha

Purchased a Roku 1 to be used to watch programs on a 2000 19 in TV in front of our tread mill. It works fine via our WiFi for Amazon programs but when we try to use Netflix, a message shows the word "retrieving" with streaming dots............... but Netflix does not open. This is the only problem. Have tried some suggested fixes but they have not corrected the problem.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Wish I'd bought this sooner. So easy to install and use. We were hooked up and navigating in 5 minutes.

I enjoy being able to go back and watch my favorite shows. But the Roku I bought came with a separate little box. You have to make sure that it's up high enough so the remote will work. My daughter has one that you put the USB into the side of the tv and you don't have to adjust it or the remote to get it to work all the time. This fancier one I have is very fickle. I would not recommend this type. But I would recommend the one with the USB in the side of the tv.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Step One in Cutting the Cable

We're just a couple old folks, frustrated with quality and selection of programming on network television. The Roku 1 lets us have a solid selection of channels and shows, while still using our analog TV. When the current TV dies and we upgrade to a wall-size HD TV, we'll probably upgrade our Roku as well.

Havn't had any issues with my Roku SE. Some complain of it being too slow but it's fine for me. Only reall issue I have as I have heard others complain about also is that it does not supported multiple users on the SE version. I would think a firmware update could change that though.
